So after job hunting for MONTHS on end, applying for a million and one jobs and not hearing anything back, or getting turned down bc of my dyslexia. I applied for a job for a care home as a care assistant and they got back in touch with me! And offered me an interview, let me tell you I was so so happy and excited but also nervous.

When going to the interview feeling nervous, but… I GOT THE JOB! They said it was one of the best interviews they’ve had!

Not trying to be self centred but I am so so proud of myself on how far I have come the past couple of years, from being depressed with suicidal thoughts and much more, to now having a job, I have such a loving and caring boyfriend and I am happy! I am so proud of myself for pushing myself more through life rather than giving up after a matter of seconds.

I started working yesterday, my first 12 hour shift, it was actually really good the staff are lovely and it’s actually a job I love doing, and my second induction 12 hour shift is tomorrow and I can’t wait to go back!

Anyways sorry for ranting there but I’m just so happy.
